Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon broke up? Wow. They were always sorta looked upon as The Perfect Hollywood Couple That Didn't Need a Piece of Paper to Prove Their Love, right? Apparently the couple has been separated since this past summer, but are just now making the official announcement.
Next thing ya know, we'll be hearing that Kurt and Goldie are breaking up! NOOOO!

Oh, but this makes me sad. I know it's none of my business, it isn't my life, I don't know these people.. but it was sort of nice to think of a strong woman and a smart man making it work, especially in the cauldron of celebrity-dom. They didn't just do charity b/c their publicists told them so; they did it b/c they believe in it. Their opinions made them sometimes unpopular, but it was a risk they were willing to take -together. Dammit. This makes me sad.
Aside: SS has been a woman I've looked up to for many years. Her appearance lastnight on Letterman showed her in fine, sassy, sexy form. She is a truly wonderful female role model... just like our web mistress Julia here. :}
